Shift Time: 3:00 PM–3:00 AM
Call: 2 call shifts per 6-week schedule period

Job Description
Seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a fast-paced emergency setting. The RN will perform assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, administer nursing interventions, and collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure safe, timely, and quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
- Implement nursing interventions and evaluate patient responses.
- Provide emergency nursing care based on current standards, policies, and procedures.
- Continuously reassess patients and modify the plan of care as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in EPIC.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Prioritize care for multiple patients in a high-acuity Emergency Department environment.
- Promote patient and staff safety by identifying, reporting, and addressing safety hazards.
- Provide patient and family education and support.
- Maintain departmental competencies and current emergency nursing knowledge.
- Support peers through professional collaboration, feedback, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of recent/relevant nursing experience
- Emergency Department experience required
- EPIC experience required
- Trauma Level II or higher experience preferred
- ASN required
- BSN preferred
- Active Illinois RN License in good standing
- BLS – AHA
- ACLS – AHA
- PALS – AHA
- TNCC highly preferred
Schedule Details
- 3 × 12-hour shifts
- 36 hours/week
- Nights or Mids Available
- 2 call shifts per 6-week schedule period
- Call shifts are 13 hours, with an expectation that the traveler can be onsite within 1 hour
- 2-week night rotation required for all travelers
- No block scheduling
- Position is available for Mids or Nights
