Job Description

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive nursing care to patients on an inpatient Neuro/Med-Surg unit. The RN will utilize the nursing process to assess patients, develop and implement individualized care plans, administer medications and treatments, monitor patient conditions, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor changes in condition.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care.
• Provide direct nursing care and appropriate interventions.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and according to orders.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
• Promote patient safety and report or correct safety hazards.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare staff.
• Provide patient and family education.
• Participate in professional development and support the development of peers.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of relevant RN experience
• Med/Surg RN experience required
• Neurology experience required
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• Active Illinois RN License
• BLS – AHA required

Schedule

• Nights: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
• 3 shifts per week
• 36 hours per week
• Start Date: 09/07/2026
• 13-week contract
