Job Description

Seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care to critically ill patients in an acute care/ICU setting. The RN will perform comprehensive assessments, develop and implement individualized plans of care, administer nursing interventions, monitor patient conditions, maintain accurate documentation, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill and acute care patients.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and identify changes in condition.
• Develop, implement, and continuously evaluate individualized plans of care.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and appropriately.
• Implement nursing interventions based on patient condition and clinical needs.
• Monitor patient safety and report or correct potential safety hazards.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Communicate and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Provide patient and family education and support.
• Participate in professional development and contribute to a positive clinical environment.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of relevant RN experience
• ICU/critical care experience
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• Active Illinois RN License
• BLS – AHA required
• ACLS – AHA required

Schedule

• Nights: 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
• 3 shifts per week
• 36 hours per week
• Start Date: 09/07/2026
• 13-week contract
