Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – NICU
University of Virginia Medical Center – Charlottesville, VA
Department: Respiratory – 2005 | Specialty: RRT-NICU
Start Date: 09/14/2026 | Duration: 13 Weeks | Openings: 3
Schedule:
- Days
- 36 or 48 hours/week
- Every other weekend
- Every other holiday
- Self-scheduling model; schedule preferences are considered but not guaranteed
- Manager will explain scheduling process during the call
Requirements:
- Minimum Level IV NICU experience – REQUIRED
- Pediatric/Children's Hospital experience
- RRT credential – REQUIRED
- BLS – REQUIRED
- NRP – REQUIRED
- Virginia RN/RT license may be pending if candidate can obtain a temporary license before start
- Must hold another state license to qualify for the temporary VA license
- ACCS – Preferred
- Cardiac PICU experience – Preferred
Position Details:
- RRT will work primarily within the Children's Hospital, supporting critically ill neonatal and pediatric patients.
- Experience with high-acuity neonatal respiratory care and Level IV NICU patients is essential.
- Cardiac PICU experience is a strong plus.
