CVOR Registered Nurse – Travel Contract

Schedule: 3×12-hour shifts | 36 hrs/week
Shift: 7:30 AM–8:00 PM, rotating day/evening

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced CVOR RN with strong cardiovascular/open-heart experience for a 16-week travel assignment at a large academic teaching hospital. The RN must be highly competent in scrubbing open-heart cases and must be flexible to support other OR specialties as needed.

Requirements

• 2+ years of OR RN experience
• Recent, strong CVOR/open-heart experience
• Must be able to scrub hearts – REQUIRED
• General OR experience required
• Large hospital experience (500+ beds)
• Academic/teaching hospital experience
• Prior travel nursing experience – REQUIRED
• Epic experience within the past 2 years – REQUIRED/non-negotiable
• BLS – REQUIRED
• CNOR – Preferred
• Must be willing to float to General, Ortho, Neuro, ENT, and other OR suites as needed
  • When floated, RN will circulate and will not be required to scrub
• Must be flexible with scheduling based on unit and patient-care needs

Call Requirements

• One or two 12-hour weekday call shifts: 7:00 PM–7:15 AM
• Typically only one weekday call per week unless staffing needs require additional coverage
• One full weekend of call approximately every 5 weeks
• No block scheduling

Rate Structure

Rates are tiered according to direct-line mileage, not driving distance:

• Travel: 101+ miles
• Radius: 51–100 miles
• Local: 50 miles or less
