Description
• Shift: Nights, 3x12, 1900-0730
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
ALL CONTINGENCY REQUESTS MUST BE ON THE SUBMISSION FORM
• Weekend Hours: As required by facility
• Call Requirements: Stand by for low census, 1 hour to report
• Required Certifications: BLS and ACLS from AHA only, PALS, TNCC
• Preferred Certifications: NIHSS
• Years of Experience: 2+ years in a high acuity ICU
• Float Requirements: Will float to areas of clinical competence
Unit Information:
• Number of Beds: 24
• Patient Ratios: typically 1:2. May be 1:1 or 1:3 depending on acuity of patient and available staffing; estimates not guarantees
• Equipment: IV pumps, chest tubes, GE monitoring, Artic Sun, glucometers, feeding pumps etc
• EMR: EPIC
Hiring Profile:
• Must Have Skills/Experience: minimum 2 years in a high acuity ICU. Must be able to titrate complex IV gtts to include vasopressors
• Preferred Skillset/Experience: we’re a level II trauma center, certified stemi and stroke center so must be able to take care of very complex patients.
• Type of Patients on Unit: Medical, surgical, traumas, strokes.
• Personality Fit: Flexible, dependable, strong teamwork, patient centric and quality driven
Dress Code:
• Scrub Color: Black
• Any unacceptable attire: Anything other than black scrubs, No t-shirts or sweatshirts not approved by Mercy
