Job Description

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive nursing care to patients on an inpatient Neuro/Med-Surg unit. The RN will utilize the nursing process to assess patients, develop and implement individualized plans of care, administer treatments and medications, monitor patient conditions, and communicate changes with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and identify changes in condition.
• Develop, implement, and continuously evaluate individualized plans of care.
• Provide direct patient care and nursing interventions based on patient needs.
• Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation.
• Promote patient safety and report/correct safety hazards.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Provide education and support to patients and families.
• Participate in professional development and provide constructive feedback to peers.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of relevant RN experience
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• Active Illinois RN License
• BLS – AHA required
• Neuro/Med-Surg experience preferred

Schedule

• Days: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
• 3 shifts per week
• 36 hours per week
• 13-week assignment
• Start: 09/14/2026
