Job description:

Inpatient PT 40hrs per week

Shift: 08:00 AM-04:30 PM

Contract length: 6 weeks with the possibility of 8

Preferred to have Acute hospital experience

Duties:

• Assess patients’ physical conditions, including mobility, strength, and functional limitations, to develop tailored treatment plans.
• Implement evidence-based physiotherapy interventions such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, trigger point therapy, and modalities.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.
• Monitor patient progress regularly and adjust treatment strategies accordingly to optimize outcomes.
• Document all clinical assessments, treatment sessions, and progress notes in accordance with clinical documentation standards and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Educate patients and their families on rehabilitation exercises, safety measures, and long-term care strategies.
• Assist in discharge planning by evaluating patient needs for continued therapy or community-based care.
• Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and uphold high standards of patient safety and confidentiality.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with advances in physiotherapy techniques and medical terminology.

Requirements:

CA State Physical therapy license

AHA BLS
