Description

We are seeking an experienced Pathology Assistant (PA) for a 13-week contract assignment in Grand Forks, North Dakota.

The Pathology Assistant works under the direct or indirect supervision of a Pathologist and assists with the preparation and performance of surgical specimen and frozen-section dissections. The role requires strong attention to detail, accurate gross description dictation, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to quality patient care.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of a NAACLS-accredited Pathologists' Assistant Program – Required
  • ASCP Pathologists' Assistant certification required, or candidate must be ASCP exam-ready with certification obtained prior to the start date.
  • Strong knowledge of Anatomic Pathology procedures and laboratory operations.
  • Ability to perform surgical specimen grossing and frozen-section procedures.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to specimen accuracy and patient safety.
