Position Summary:
A hospital in Riverside, CA is seeking a NICU RN for a travel assignment, starting 09/07/2026. 2 openings currently available. This is a high-acuity Neonatal ICU covering the full range of newborn/neonatal care.
 

Key Responsibilities:

Full NICU nursing care: admission assessment, ongoing reassessment, and individualized plan-of-care management
Medication administration and treatments per hospital policy, sterile technique, and standard precautions
UAC line setup, calibration, waveform interpretation, and documentation
Blood sample collection via central lines, heel stick, and venipuncture
Familiarity with mechanical ventilators and neonatal-specific bedside monitoring equipment
SBAR communication for all handoffs; multidisciplinary care planning
Patient/family education and appropriate parent interaction
Age-appropriate medication calculation, fluid/nutritional intake calculation, and head-to-toe neonatal assessment
Recognizes normal vs. abnormal neonatal vital signs and intervenes appropriately
 

Requirements:

Active RN License
BLS
NICU Experience
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
3 years PEDS/PICU experience preferred (candidate may be asked to float to these units)

Shift: 3x12 PM & AM
 

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Start Date: 09/07/2026
