Description

Radiation Therapist – Oncology Department

Location: New York
Contract: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Hours: 8-hour shifts
Local Rule: 100-mile radius rule
License: NY Radiation Therapist License in hand is required

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Radiation Therapist to join the Oncology Department. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of radiation therapy experience and be comfortable working with advanced radiation treatment equipment and software.

Responsibilities

Provide safe and accurate radiation treatments to oncology patients.
Operate radiation therapy equipment according to established protocols.
Use Varian TrueBeam, IX, and ARIA systems for treatment delivery and documentation.
Verify treatment plans and patient information before procedures.
Monitor patients during treatment and provide appropriate support.
Maintain accurate treatment records and follow radiation safety standards.
Collaborate with physicians, dosimetrists, physicists, and other healthcare professionals

Minimum 1 year of radiation therapy experience Active NY State license in hand – Required ARRT certification – Required Current BCLS certification Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology Experience with Varian TrueBeam, Varian IX, and ARIA preferred/required per facility Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology Must meet the 100-mile radius rule
