OR Tech – Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital
Join the Operating Room team at The University of Vermont Health Network – Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital, a 341-bed facility with 8 main-campus ORs and 4 ASC operating rooms. The OR Tech will support surgical procedures by circulating and assisting with a variety of cases involving patients ranging from 6 months to 100+ years old; cardiac, transplant, neuro, and gastric bypass cases are excluded.
Requirements: Minimum 2 years of OR experience, with strong circulating experience required; scrub experience is preferred. BLS and NY license are required, with Epic experience used for documentation and medication management. The position requires flexibility to float between the main OR and ASC based on surgical case volume and staff experience.
Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM, 36 hours/week for a 26-week assignment. Staff rotate days off, with one night of call per week, approximately one weekend of call every 3–4 weeks, and up to one holiday call assignment per year. Scrubs are provided, and OR dress code requires closed-toe, non-skid shoes with appropriate hair/beard coverings.
