Ultrasound Technologist – University of Vermont Medical Center
University of Vermont Medical Center is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist to support its Radiology Ultrasound Department at a 579-bed Level I Trauma, teaching facility with two campus locations. The technologist will perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including abdominal, gynecologic, vascular, and breast imaging, with experience performing breast biopsies required.
Requirements: Minimum 2 years of ultrasound experience, ARDMS certifications in Abdomen, GYN, and Vascular, and prior experience in a Breast Care Center are required. Large teaching-hospital experience and Epic experience within the past 2 years are also mandatory.
Schedule: 36 hours/week, working four 10-hour night shifts, 8:00 PM–6:00 AM, Sunday–Wednesday. Weekend coverage may be required as needed, and no block scheduling can be accommodated. Assignment is 13 weeks, tentatively starting 09/21/2026 and ending 12/21/2026. Reliable transportation is strongly recommended, with all-season or snow tires advised during November–April.
