👶 NICU Respiratory Therapist – 98-Week Contract
🏥 Specialty: NICU Respiratory Therapist
📅 Contract: 14 weeks
⏰ Schedule: Any 3 × 12-hour shifts
💰 Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
🕐 Shift: 12 hours
✅ Required Licenses
- Respiratory Therapist License – North Dakota State Board of Respiratory Care
- OR Minnesota Respiratory Therapist License – Minnesota Board of Medical Practice
- License required prior to start
📋 Required Certifications
- BLS – AHA
- ACLS – AHA
- PALS – AHA
- NRP – RQI Partners
- RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) – New graduates must obtain NBRC registry within 12 months of start date
🫁 Required Experience / Skills
- NICU / Neonatal Respiratory Therapy experience
- Patient assessment and respiratory evaluation
- Diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory treatments
- Critical-care respiratory support
- Neonatal patient transport experience
- Ventilator/respiratory equipment setup, cleaning, assembly, and maintenance
- Ability to recognize changes in patient condition and take appropriate action
- EMR documentation, order entry, medication charting, and patient safety documentation
- Family education and support
⭐ Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality critical care to NICU patients
- Perform respiratory assessments and treatments
- Assist physicians with procedures/treatment
- Transport infants to and from referral health systems
- Monitor and document patient status
- Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment
- Educate patients/families and communicate with the care team
📌 Important: This is a specialized NICU RT role, so prioritize candidates with strong neonatal/critical-care respiratory experience and the required BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP credentials.
