Job Description:

Position: Dietitian

Location: Staten Island, New York

Setting: Acute Care Hospital

Duration: 13 weeks

Schedule:

• Monday-Friday
• 8:30am-4:30pm
• 39 hours per week
• Weekend rotation every 4 weeks

Travel Pay Package:

• $3,024 per week total. Includes base pay, housing, meals and incidentals

Overview:

• Coordinate all phases of nutrition care including assessment, care planning, monitoring, education, and counseling
• Conduct nutritional assessments and develop individualized nutrition plans
• Provide dietary counseling to patients across multiple hospital units
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to improve patient outcomes
• Monitor patient progress and adjust nutrition interventions as needed
• Complete approximately 10 patient assessments per day
• Support health and wellness initiatives through evidence-based nutrition practices

• Client interview required
• Interview scheduling typically occurs via phone call or text shortly after profile review
• Feedback is typically provided very quickly after interview
• EPIC charting system
• Liquid Compass timekeeping
• Maroon scrubs required (scrubs not provided)
• HealthStream training assigned on day one
• Facility evaluations completed after the first two weeks and before the final two weeks of assignment
• Client may cancel one shift every six weeks

Requirements:

• Registered Dietitian (RD) required
• Active New York State license required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Acute care experience required
• Bachelor's degree in Food & Nutrition, Dietetics, Nutritional Sciences, Human Nutrition, or related field preferred
• CNSC certification preferred
• Strong clinical nutrition assessment and counseling skills
