Position Summary

 

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Travel Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality nursing care to residents in a long-term care/skilled nursing facility. The Travel LPN will work collaboratively with registered nurses, certified nursing assistants, physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to promote resident safety, comfort, and overall well-being.

The ideal candidate is dependable, clinically competent, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced long-term care environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to residents according to individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately within LPN scope of practice.
  • Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to the supervising RN or provider.
  • Perform routine nursing assessments and document findings accurately.
  • Provide wound care and other treatments as ordered.
  • Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and changes in resident status.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Follow infection-control, safety, and facility policies and procedures.
  • Support activities of daily living and promote resident dignity, independence, and quality of life.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies and changes in resident condition.
  • Provide patient and family education as appropriate.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable federal, state, and facility regulations.
