Description
Lake Forest, IL – Day Shift CVOR Surgical Tech Opportunity
Quick Glance:
- Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (5x8s)
- Shift: Days
- Call: Rotating call schedule – 3 days on / 3 days off (post-shift through next morning)
- Scope: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) procedures in a high-acuity surgical setting
- Environment: Fast-paced OR with a focus on cardiac and vascular cases
Scope of Responsibilities:
- Assist surgeons during cardiovascular procedures, maintaining a sterile field at all times
- Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and supplies for CVOR cases
- Anticipate surgeon needs and ensure efficient workflow during procedures
- Handle surgical instruments, sutures, and specialized CVOR equipment
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control and patient safety protocols
- Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia teams to support optimal patient outcomes
Must-Have Credentials:
- CST certification (NBSTSA or NCCT)
- BLS (AHA) certification
- Minimum 2 years of recent operating room experience
- Required: CVOR experience
Preferred Skills:
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and instrumentation
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
