Description
Position: Registered Nurse – Pre-Op / PACU
Location: West Nyack, NY 10994
Job Type: 13 Weeks Contract + possible extensions
Shift: Days 5 days x 8 hours
Schedule: 5 days/week
Expected Hours: 40 hours per week
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide quality patient care in a Pre-Op/PACU setting. The RN will be responsible for preparing patients for procedures, monitoring patients during recovery, administering medications, and collaborating with the surgical and anesthesia teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and monitor patients before and after surgical procedures.
- Prepare patients for surgery and verify pre-operative requirements.
- Monitor vital signs, airway, pain, and recovery status.
- Administer medications and IV therapies as ordered.
- Provide post-anesthesia care and identify complications promptly.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in EPIC.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the healthcare team.
Required Qualifications:
- Active New york state RN License.
- 2+ years of experience as a RN Pre-Op / PACU.
- BLS (AHA) certification.
- ACLS (AHA) certification
