Description
Job Title: RN – PACU / Pre-Op
Location: West Nyack, NY 10994
Start Date: 09/15/2026 tentative
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days, 8 Hours
Hours: 40 hours/week
Job Overview:
Provide pre-operative and post-anesthesia nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in an ambulatory surgery setting.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patients before and after procedures
- Provide post-anesthesia recovery care
- Monitor vital signs and patient response to anesthesia
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered
- Monitor for complications and escalate changes in condition
- Prepare patients for procedures and provide discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC
- Collaborate with anesthesia, surgeons, and the healthcare team
Requirements
- 2 years of RN experience required
- PACU/Pre-Op experience preferred
- BLS (AHA or ARC) required
- ACLS (AHA or ARC) required
- Active RN New York State license required
- Ability to work 40 hours/week
Day shift availability required
