Duration: 13 weeks
Schedule: 3×12-hour shifts
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM and 12pm-12:30am

Hours: 34.5 hours/week

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Cardiac Cath Lab experience — REQUIRED
• BSN — REQUIRED
• Minimum 2 years RN experience
• 1 year travel experience required for travel positions
• Active New York RN license
• BLS, ACLS & PALS required
• Epic experience highly preferred
• Strong cardiology, telemetry, and procedural experience

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe, competent, patient-centered nursing care to pediatric cardiac patients.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and apply critical thinking in patient care management.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures, treatment plans, transition of care, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate and thorough clinical documentation.
• Support patient throughput and coordinate care throughout the shift.
• Follow evidence-based practices, quality standards, and patient safety protocols.
• Participate in quality improvement, nursing research, and professional development activities.
• Perform charge nurse responsibilities when assigned.
