Direct Hire | Per Diem | Day Shift

A healthcare organization in White Plains, New York is seeking a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) for a per diem position within the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside invasive cardiologists and electrophysiology specialists while supporting advanced diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures in a high-acuity clinical environment.

Position Overview

• Supports cardiac, electrophysiology, and peripheral vascular procedures
• Works under the direction of Invasive Cardiologists and Nursing Leadership
• On-call responsibilities required

Shift Details
• Monday – Friday
• Hours vary
• On-call coverage required
• Additional shift and weekend coverage as needed

Compensation & Incentives
• Hourly range: $40.91 – $61.37 (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities
• Assist cardiologists with diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral procedures
• Prepare procedure rooms for cardiac, electrophysiology, and vascular cases
• Perform patient preparation, monitoring, and procedural documentation
• Serve as scrub assistant during invasive procedures
• Assist with patient care before, during, and after procedures
• Interpret electrocardiograms and hemodynamic pressure tracings
• Assist with electrophysiology procedures and device implants
• Perform analytical calculations and diagnostic measurements during procedures
• Maintain procedural records and departmental documentation
• Demonstrate proficiency with IVUS, ICE, FFR, IFR, RFR, OCT, and other imaging technologies
• Manage inventory, supply ordering, and equipment maintenance
• Perform quality control activities on designated equipment
• Assist with billing processes, charge audits, and policy development
• Serve as a preceptor for new hires and clinical students

Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
• Completion of a Scrub Technician Training Program, Hospital-Based Training Program, or Health Science Program (Required)
• Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred)
• One year of scrub technician or cardiac technician experience preferred
• BLS Certification through the American Heart Association (Required)
• ACLS Certification through the American Heart Association (Required)
• RCIS or RCES Certification through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (Preferred)
• Ability to work independently and manage on-call responsibilities
