Position Summary Cardiovascular Operating Room Registered Nurse needed for a multi-service Level II Trauma Center featuring 15 suites (including one hybrid OR), 3 cardiothoracic surgeons, and 5 vascular surgeons. Responsibilities include high-acuity surgical support (cardiac, thoracic, vascular; scrubbing a plus) and general OR circulating across core service lines. On-call requirements include four weekday call shifts (Mon–Fri from end of shift until 07:00) and four weekend call shifts per month (covering 7a-7p and 7p-7a on Saturdays and Sundays).
Requirements & Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Virginia or compact RN license required at submittal
- Minimum one (1) year of recent specialty experience
- Required Certifications: AHA BLS and ACLS (PALS also required per facility notes)
- Recent Epic charting experience required; NIH and stroke education required for all acute care hospitals under Riverside Health
- Supervisory reference required at submittal; mandatory manager interview required for all candidates

Lack benefits and perks other companies offer. Was incorrectly paid more than once. The assignment was the worst I’ve experienced from management down to housekeeping. They nitpick travelers on every level and give them double the respiratory therapist to patient ratio with every assignment spread over multiple floors and areas on every side of the facility. Staff makes no attempt at teamwork. Bottom line: Malone is ok🥴 but has MUCH room to improve. Elizabethtown, KY is awful and puts their patients and your license at risk every shift. Don’t do it!
