Description

Special Education Teacher – Full-Time School-Based

Location: South Holland, IL Area
Pay: $47–$50 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time, 32.5 hours per week
Hours: 6.5 hours per day
Contract Dates: September 8, 2026 – May 28, 2027
Student Population: Grade 3 through Age 22

PediaStaff is seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers for multiple full-time school-based openings in the South Holland, IL area for the 2026–2027 school year.

Current Openings

ECHO School: 1 opening
PACE: 1 opening
AFL: 1–2 openings

These programs serve students with special education needs in supportive, specialized educational settings.

Qualifications

Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
LBS1 Special Education Endorsement required
Appropriate Illinois teaching credentials for the assigned student population
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with related service providers, paraprofessionals, families, and school staff
Experience working with students with diverse learning, behavioral, developmental, and/or functional needs preferred

Role Responsibilities

Provide specialized instruction based on students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Develop and implement appropriate instructional strategies and accommodations
Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation
Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Support students' academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and functional development
Create a structured, supportive, and engaging classroom environment

Position Details

Pay: $47–$50 per hour
September 8, 2026 – May 28, 2027
32.5 hours per week
6.5 hours per day
