Required Experience & Skills

Cardiac Telemetry or PCU/ICU experience required
Ability to read and interpret EKGs and telemetry strips
Experience with post-cardiac procedural care, including:
- Cardiac ablations
- Cardiac catheterizations
- Post-op Day 1 open-heart patients
- Permanent pacemaker placements
Experience administering and titrating IV medications such as:
- Insulin
- Cardizem
- Cardene
- Amiodarone
IV insertion
NGT placement and maintenance
Chest tube maintenance
Temporary pacemaker management
Foley catheter insertion

Certifications Required

BLS
ACLS
NIHSS
