Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced CVOR Registered Nurse with strong vascular and cardiac surgical experience, particularly in vascular procedures. The ideal candidate must be comfortable circulating open-heart surgeries and complex vascular cases in a high-acuity CVOR environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of CVOR experience
- Strong vascular and cardiac experience, with emphasis on vascular cases
- Must have experience circulating open-heart surgeries and vascular procedures
- BLS required
- ACLS preferred
- Cerner experience preferred
- Active license required at the time of submission
- Pending licenses are not accepted
- First-time travelers are welcome
- COVID-19 vaccination required; medical or religious exemptions accepted

- Cardiovascular surgery
- CVOR
- CABG
- Open-heart surgery
- Vascular surgery
- Peripheral vascular procedures
- Aortic procedures
- Carotid procedures
- Valve surgery
Patient Diagnoses
The CVOR team cares for patients with conditions including:
- Peripheral vascular disease
- Peripheral artery disease
- Aortic disease
- Carotid disease
- Coronary artery disease
- Valve disease
- TAVR
- Aortic dissections
Surgical Procedures
Experience with the following procedures is highly relevant:
- Angiograms
- Aortograms
- EVAR
- TVAR
- TCAR
- Open AAA repair
- Open-heart surgeries
- Vascular surgeries
Schedule & Call
- Day Shift: 6:30 AM–5:00 PM
- 4×10-hour shifts
- Patient ratio: 1:1
- Call required as needed
- Weekend call coverage: Every third weekend
- Approximately 4 weekend shifts per contract
- No floating required
- Block scheduling may be discussed during the interview

- 5 CVOR rooms
- Daily census: approximately 2
- Hybrid OR room available

Important Candidate Requirements
Strong vascular and cardiac/CVOR experience is essential for this position. Candidates must be able to independently circulate open-heart and vascular cases, including complex vascular procedures.
Candidates with strong vascular surgery experience will be particularly well suited for this opportunity.
