Description

Position: Labor & Delivery RN
Location: Picayune, MS
Contract: 8 Weeks (facility may only need 6 weeks; 2-week notice will be provided)
Shift: Night – 6:45 PM–7:15 AM
Schedule: 36/48-hour rotation or straight 48 hours/week
Weekend: Every other weekend required
PTO/Scheduling Restrictions: None

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of RN experience
Active MS RN License
BLS
ACLS
NIHSS
NRP
S.T.A.B.L.E.
Fetal Heart Monitor Course
Epic experience required
Kronos experience preferred/used for timekeeping

Key Experience

Fetal monitoring & telemetry fetal monitoring
Fetal scalp electrodes and IUPC
Epidural and IV infusion pumps
Recognizing maternal and fetal complications
Emergency response during delivery
Shoulder dystocia, hemorrhage & hypertensive crisis
Vacuum extractor and forceps assistance
Mother/infant couplet care
Recognizing and responding to compromised newborns
Breastfeeding education
Safe positioning and repositioning of patients under epidural anesthesia

Facility Details

Level 1 L&D
Approximately 10–17 deliveries/month
Galaxy Blue scrubs
Professional appearance required, including natural/neutral hair colors
Must be able to lift, push, pull, and handle up to 50 lbs
Every other weekend required
