Description
Round Rock, TX – Interventional Radiology Tech Opportunity (4x10s + Call)
Quick Glance:

- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Temp-to-Perm potential)
- Setting: Interventional Radiology (IR)
- Experience: 1+ year minimum
- Certifications: BLS (AHA only), ARRT (R), TX-MRT
Scope of Role:
- Perform a variety of interventional radiology procedures in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Assist physicians during minimally invasive image-guided procedures
- Prepare and position patients while ensuring comfort and safety
- Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols
- Operate imaging equipment and ensure high-quality imaging standards
- Document procedures accurately within EMR and PACS systems
- Monitor patient condition during and after procedures
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality imaging while following established IR protocols
- Communicate effectively with patients and families to explain procedures and reduce anxiety
- Ensure proper patient identification and exam verification
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams
- Assist with inventory, equipment checks, and troubleshooting
- Participate in on-call rotation as required
Must-Have Credentials:
- ARRT (R) certification
- Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist (TX-MRT) license
- BLS (AHA only)
- Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience
Preferred Skills:
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique and invasive procedures
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent patient care and communication skills
- Experience with multiple imaging systems and procedural workflows
