OB RN – Labor & Delivery

• Shift: 3 × 12-hour shifts, Nights
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
• Facility: Central Montana Medical Center (CMMC)

Responsibilities:

• Provide safe, efficient, and compassionate nursing care to Labor & Delivery and Obstetric patients.
• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being throughout labor.
• Manage labor progression and perform cervical examinations within scope.
• Interpret fetal monitoring strips and recognize changes requiring intervention.
• Assist with vaginal and operative deliveries.
• Prepare patients for operative deliveries and respond promptly to obstetric emergencies.
• Administer medications and provide ongoing clinical care during labor and delivery.
• Provide postpartum education and support to patients and families.
• Promote a positive birth experience and optimal outcomes for mothers and newborns.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and the multidisciplinary care team.

Requirements:

• Current Montana RN License required
• Labor & Delivery experience required
• Experience in both Labor & Delivery and Obstetrics required
• NRP required
• BLS required
• STABLE required
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
