Job Title: Med Surg/Tele - RN (Travel Contract)
Specialty: Medical Surgical / Telemetry
Location: Neptune City, New Jersey (Hackensack Meridian Health)

Position Summary Registered Nurse needed for an extremely busy 52-bed medical-surgical unit (where patients could occasionally be step-down level). Responsibilities include evaluating patients, assisting physicians, planning and implementing individualized nursing care, and managing patient assignments of 1:4 or 1:5.

Requirements & Qualifications

Minimum of two (2) years of prior RN experience working in a MS/Tele unit in a major acute care hospital setting required
Active New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license required
Required Certifications: NIHSS, Telemetry, AHA BLS, and 4 hours of CEU Contact Stroke
Required Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN); Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Th recruiters are super nice and helpful.

Cons

Lack benefits and perks other companies offer. Was incorrectly paid more than once. The assignment was the worst I’ve experienced from management down to housekeeping. They nitpick travelers on every level and give them double the respiratory therapist to patient ratio with every assignment spread over multiple floors and areas on every side of the facility. Staff makes no attempt at teamwork. Bottom line: Malone is ok🥴 but has MUCH room to improve. Elizabethtown, KY is awful and puts their patients and your license at risk every shift. Don’t do it!
