Description
- Job Title: Med Surg - RN (Travel Contract)
- Specialty: Medical / Surgical (Respiratory Unit)
- Location: Zanesville, Ohio (Genesis Healthcare System)
- Shift: Nights (36 hours/week, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM; every other weekend required)
Target Start Date: 09/21/2026 (or 10/19/2026 for returning Genesis travelers within the last 9 months)

Position Summary Registered Nurse needed primarily for the Respiratory unit (where COVID patients are admitted) with occasional floating between Med-Surg units including Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED/Med-Surg boarders. No call requirement.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum three (3) years of current/recent Telemetry and/or Stepdown experience required (must be able to read telemetry and pass day-one competency testing; failure results in termination)
- Active Ohio RN license and AHA BLS required
- Critical Compliance: Documented, current Epic EMR proficiency is mandatory at referral (no refresher classes or 1:1 training provided; failure to demonstrate Epic proficiency results in immediate termination)

Cons
Lack benefits and perks other companies offer. Was incorrectly paid more than once. The assignment was the worst I’ve experienced from management down to housekeeping. They nitpick travelers on every level and give them double the respiratory therapist to patient ratio with every assignment spread over multiple floors and areas on every side of the facility. Staff makes no attempt at teamwork. Bottom line: Malone is ok🥴 but has MUCH room to improve. Elizabethtown, KY is awful and puts their patients and your license at risk every shift. Don’t do it!
