Description
RN Stepdown/ PCU
Shift: Night, 3 × 12 hours
Hours: 19:00–07:30
Contract: 16 weeks
Patient population: Adults & geriatrics
Unit: 36 beds, ~36 daily census
Charting: Epic
Ratio: Goal 1:4, may reach 1:5
Weekend: Variable according to unit needs
Call: None listed
Float: Required within scope, including other acute-care oncology units
🚨 Hard-stop requirements
- 2 years total acute-care nursing experience
- At least 1 year PCU/stepdown experience
- Acute-care experience must be current and the nurse must have been working consistently within the last 12 months
- Surgical experience is required, including experience with 3- and 4-patient assignments
- Must have PCU experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required
- RN must have a valid compact or Ohio RN license in hand at submission
- Nursing education must be from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited program
- 2 professional references
- At least one must be a manager/director/formal leader
- Charge RN is acceptable for the second
- No coworker references
- RTO must be provided at submission and incorporated into the contract
