Description
Job Description:
The Intensive Care Unit provides care to acutely and critically ill patients who are at risk for life-threatening conditions. The ICU RN is responsible for intensive patient monitoring, assessment, and clinical interventions while working closely with physicians and the multidisciplinary care team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to critically ill and high-acuity patients.
- Perform continuous patient assessments and intensive monitoring.
- Recognize changes in patient condition and respond promptly to clinical deterioration.
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
- Promote patient safety and evidence-based critical care practices.
Requirements
Required:
- Active, unencumbered Oregon RN License at submission
- AHA BLS
- AHA ACLS
- NIHSS
- High school diploma or equivalent verification
Preferred:
- 3 years of previous ICU experience
- PALS
- TNCC
