<h3>Position Highlights</h3><ul><li>Unit: Med/Surg</li><li>Beds: 32-bed unit; currently 20 beds due to staffing</li><li>RN-to-Patient Ratio: Maximum 1:5</li><li>Strong Med/Surg experience required</li><li>EPIC experience required</li><li>RNs do not titrate drips</li><li>No call or standby</li><li>Floating is required; Med/Surg nurses may assist other units as a tasker or extra set of hands</li><li>Additional shifts may be available</li><li>Manager creates the schedule and is open to traveler preferences/block scheduling</li></ul><h3>Patient Population</h3>A diverse Med/Surg patient population, including:<ul><li>CHF</li><li>Pneumonia</li><li>Abdominal pain</li><li>Pancreatitis</li><li>Orthopedic patients</li><li>Detox</li><li>Post-op/surgical patients</li><li>Pediatric patients</li><li>Cerebral palsy (CP)</li></ul>The unit can care for most patient types except laboring mothers and patients requiring titratable cardiac or insulin drips.
