Occupational Therapist (OT) – Outpatient Lymphedema

Location: Piedmont Fayette, GA
Setting: Hospital-Based Outpatient Rehabilitation
Specialty: Lymphedema / Outpatient Rehab

Requirements

• HARD STOP: Lymphedema Certification must be in hand to be considered.
• Minimum 1 year of OT experience required.
• First-time travelers are welcome.
• Georgia OT License: May be pending at the time of submission.
• NBCOT: Required; can be screened over.

Unit & Patient Population

• Work collaboratively with OTs/OTAs, PTs/PTAs, and SLPs on a regular basis.
• Collaborate with the Wound Care Clinic, compression fitters, and lymphedema vendors supporting the patient population.
• Treat a diverse patient population ranging from young/middle-aged adults to geriatrics.
• Patient diagnoses will vary and include patients requiring specialized lymphedema care.
• Outpatient rehabilitation department with a hospital-based outpatient lymphedema patient population.
• Facility information: Piedmont Wellness Center.

Schedule

• 4x10s preferred; 5x8s are also available.
• Manager is very flexible with scheduling.
• Weekend: None
• Call: None
• Floating: Within the facility and scope of practice, including to Piedmont Fayette Acute Care Inpatient as needed.

Contract & Time-Off Requirements

• RTO: Maximum 7 days.
• Locals: Accepted at the same rate.
• Holidays: Travelers are expected to work based on the number of major holidays occurring during the assignment:
  • 1 major holiday → Work 1 holiday
  • 2 major holidays → Work both
  • 3 major holidays → Work 2

Major Holidays:

• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving / Black Friday
• Christmas Eve / Christmas Day
• New Year's Eve / New Year's Day

Offer & Compliance

• Once the candidate signs and confirmation is sent, the manager has 48 hours to review the profile/confirmation and determine whether the candidate's unit, schedule, and expertise are a fit.
• Offer is available only after clinical approval, within RTO guidelines, and once all specific facility requirements are met.
• Full compliance is required to start on time.
• If compliance is not completed on time, the start date will be pushed back 2 weeks due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule.

Orientation

Non-billable orientation hours are determined by contract length:

• 8-week assignment → 8 non-billable hours
• 10-week assignment → 10 non-billable hours
• Hours vary based on the total contract length.
