š„ Team Leadership
Even though the job says:
Direct Reports: None
the RN can still have significant responsibility over other staff.
The RN may:
- Delegate tasks to CNAs/techs/LPNs depending on the unit
- Supervise care provided by other personnel
- Coordinate the patient's multidisciplinary care
- Precept new nurses
- Mentor other staff
- Participate in shared governance/leadership
- Help with orientation and education
So this doesn't necessarily mean a charge nurse or management position. It's more of a bedside RN who may take a leadership role during the shift.
