- Job Title: ER - RN (Travel Contract)
- Specialty: Emergency Room / Emergency Department
- Location: Marshalltown, Iowa (UnityPoint- Marshalltown)
- Shift: Nights (36-40 hours/week; 16-bed unit with 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio)

Position Summary Emergency Room Registered Nurse needed for a 16-bed ED department handling trauma, stroke, OB, and advanced cardiac patients. Responsibilities include administering critical drips and charting via Epic EMR. Acceptable scrub colors include solid navy, black, or gray tops and bottoms.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 24 months of current/recent ER experience required (recent travel experience and Epic EMR proficiency highly preferred)
- Required active certifications in hand at submission: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
- Active Iowa license or compact/multistate license via Nursys required in hand at submission
- Compliance & Submission Rules: Strict no-local policy (>50 miles from facility based on driver's license); employee separation policy applies for past UPH FTE/PRN staff within 12 months

Cons
Lack benefits and perks other companies offer. Was incorrectly paid more than once. The assignment was the worst I’ve experienced from management down to housekeeping. They nitpick travelers on every level and give them double the respiratory therapist to patient ratio with every assignment spread over multiple floors and areas on every side of the facility. Staff makes no attempt at teamwork. Bottom line: Malone is ok🥴 but has MUCH room to improve. Elizabethtown, KY is awful and puts their patients and your license at risk every shift. Don’t do it!
