Description
Position Highlights
- Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
- Contract: 13 Weeks
- Schedule: Flexible shifts (Days/Nights/Weekends as needed)
- Adult acute care & cardiovascular patient population
Requirements
- Active RN License (State or Compact License accepted)
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Minimum 1 year of adult acute care experience
- Cardiology/Cardiovascular nursing experience preferred
Required Certifications
- BLS (required within 30 days of employment)
- ACLS (required for PCU nurses within one year)
- PALS/ENPC preferred for cross-trained emergency departments
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult acute care and cardiovascular patients.
- Perform ongoing patient assessments and monitor cardiac status.
- Administer medications and collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery.
- Maintain accurate documentation while delivering safe, patient-centered care.
