Travel Stepdown / Intermediate Care RN (Night Shift) | Atlanta, GA (Perimeter North)
Setting: Acute Care Hospital / Pulmonary & Thoracic Stepdown
Contract: 16 Weeks | 36 Hours Guaranteed
Dates: September 14, 2026 – January 2, 2027
Schedule: 3x12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Schedule Varies
Assignment Snapshot
- Department: Pulmonary / Thoracic Intermediate Care Unit (Stepdown)
- Patient Population & Acuity: High-risk respiratory support (RA to BiPAP and Optiflow high-flow nasal cannula), post-operative cardiothoracic surgery, hepatobiliary surgery, head/neck surgical recovery, and complex intermediate medical patients
- On-Call: Yes | Unit call rotation required
- Floating: Optional across aligned intermediate/stepdown units as needed
- Radius Rule: Must reside 50+ miles from the facility zip code (30342)
Candidate Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years of recent Intermediate Care (IMC) / Stepdown (PCU) nursing experience in an acute care hospital
- Credentials: Active Georgia RN or Multi-State Compact License
- Certifications: Current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS required (NIHSS preferred)
- Travel History: Minimum 1 completed travel assignment required
Holiday Commitment
- Major (2 of 3): Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year’s Day
- Minor (1 of 3): Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year’s Eve
