ACLS, Advanced Fetal Monitoring, BLS Certification, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), Stable
Shift Notes
7p-7a, weekends as needed, first to float
- 10 L&D beds, 4 triage, 10 postpartum beds
- ~120 births/month
- 1:1 L&D and 1:6 couple care postpartum
- 2 C-section ORs, with L&D RNs circulating
- Required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE, and AWHONN fetal monitoring
- Must have L&D + postpartum + circulating experience; triage strongly preferred
- RN titration: Pitocin, magnesium, occasionally insulin
- 24/7 OB hospitalist, CRNA, neonatal NP; neonatologist available within ~15 minutes
- 12-hour shifts, 7a–7p / 7p–7a; no more than 5 consecutive shifts
- No call/standby
- Floating to Nampa L&D / Boise L&D is required when needed; occasional sitter duties in MS/ED are possible
- Blue scrubs provided
- Typically 4–6 orientation shifts, customized to the traveler
