Description

Key requirements

Education: Associate’s degree or equivalent; graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
Certification: Active ARRT certification/registration required.
Licensure: Current state/district radiologic technology license required.
BLS: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
Experience: At least 2 years of experience.
Radiation safety: Must meet current state Radiation Quality Standards.
Schedule: Either 4 × 10-hour shifts or 5 × 8-hour shifts.
Location requirement: Candidate must live at least 100 miles away from the facility/location, presumably for a traveler/contract assignment.

Main job duties

The role involves:

Performing radiologic functions for special procedures and interventional examinations.
Assisting physicians during interventional procedures.
Performing diagnostic imaging/scans of patients.
Administering and documenting isotope/radiopharmaceutical dosages according to departmental protocols.
Monitoring patients throughout procedures.
Recognizing and reporting abnormal patient activity or conditions.
