Title: Unlicensed Social Worker / Counselor
Start Date: October 19, 2026
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 40 hours per week

Schedule
- Weekday shifts only
- No weekends required
- Must be flexible with scheduling
- Expected schedule:
- 4x10-hour shifts or
- 5x8-hour shifts
Position Summary
This role provides substance use disorder (SUD) treatment services within a correctional setting. The clinician will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, provide individual and group counseling, and support continuity of behavioral health care for the inmate population.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct behavioral health and substance use assessments
- Complete diagnostic evaluations and treatment planning
- Provide individual, group, and brief therapeutic interventions
- Monitor treatment progress and ensure compliance with clinical standards
- Maintain accurate and timely behavioral health documentation
- Serve as a behavioral health consultant to correctional and clinical staff
- Provide crisis intervention and behavioral health support as needed
- Coordinate continuity of care through referrals, transfers, and discharge planning
- Educate and counsel inmates regarding behavioral health concerns and treatment
- Collaborate with facility staff and outside agencies to support treatment goals
- Respond to inmate behavioral management issues, complaints, classifications, and transfers
- Maintain program standards and adhere to all departmental and professional guidelines
- Support the safety and security of the correctional environment
Requirements
- Experience providing behavioral health and/or substance use disorder services
- Ability to work effectively in a correctional environment
- Strong assessment, counseling, documentation, and crisis intervention skills
