  • 4x10-hour shifts or
  • 5x8-hour shifts

Position Summary

This role provides substance use disorder (SUD) treatment services within a correctional setting. The clinician will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, provide individual and group counseling, and support continuity of behavioral health care for the inmate population.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct behavioral health and substance use assessments
• Complete diagnostic evaluations and treatment planning
• Provide individual, group, and brief therapeutic interventions
• Monitor treatment progress and ensure compliance with clinical standards
• Maintain accurate and timely behavioral health documentation
• Serve as a behavioral health consultant to correctional and clinical staff
• Provide crisis intervention and behavioral health support as needed
• Coordinate continuity of care through referrals, transfers, and discharge planning
• Educate and counsel inmates regarding behavioral health concerns and treatment
• Collaborate with facility staff and outside agencies to support treatment goals
• Respond to inmate behavioral management issues, complaints, classifications, and transfers
• Maintain program standards and adhere to all departmental and professional guidelines
• Support the safety and security of the correctional environment

Requirements

• Experience providing behavioral health and/or substance use disorder services
• Ability to work effectively in a correctional environment
• Strong assessment, counseling, documentation, and crisis intervention skills
