Description
We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, compassionate patient care while working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team. The RN will utilize the nursing process and unit-specific standards of practice to assess patients, develop individualized care plans, provide treatments, and evaluate patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Active Washington State RN license or Compact RN license
- Current BLS, NRP, and FHM certifications
- Must maintain all required certifications throughout the assignment
- Must practice in accordance with the Washington Nurse Practice Act
- Must adhere to hospital and unit-specific policies, procedures, and standards
- Must be willing to float as a sitter
- May be required to float to other units on a rotational basis
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and provide safe, compassionate, and high-quality patient care.
- Perform comprehensive and ongoing patient assessments and respond appropriately to changes in condition.
- Develop, implement, and continually reassess individualized patient care plans.
- Administer medications and perform nursing procedures and treatments according to established standards.
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, care provided, patient responses, and plans of care.
- Collect and evaluate patient information necessary to provide safe and effective care.
- Address patients’ physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs.
- Evaluate discharge plans and identify educational needs or required changes.
- Educate patients, families, and significant others regarding appropriate health information and provide written educational materials.
- Maintain current knowledge of clinical workflows, processes, and evidence-based nursing practices.
- Delegate appropriately and oversee care provided by non-licensed assistive personnel.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with all members of the healthcare team.
- Participate in performance improvement and evaluation activities with the Director/Clinical Manager.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment for patients and staff in accordance with hospital and unit policies.
- Float as a sitter when required and participate in the unit's floating rotation as assigned.
