Special Education Teacher – EC General Curriculum

Schedule: 5×8 Days
Contract: 43 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 37.5 hours/week
 

Licensure Requirement

• MUST hold an EC General Curriculum license.
• Adapted license is NOT accepted.
• Active North Carolina EC General Curriculum licensure is preferred/required for consideration.

1. Fair Grove Elementary School

• Role: EC Resource Teacher
• Openings: 2
• Schedule: Full-time

2. Davis Townsend Elementary School

• Role: CASE Teacher – Communication, Academics, and Social Engagement
• Openings: 1
• Schedule: Full-time
• Setting: Self-contained classroom
• Students: Students with autism or autism-like presentations requiring maximum support
• Curriculum: General Curriculum; students access the general curriculum, not adapted curriculum
• Candidates must be comfortable working in a self-contained autism/maximum-support setting.

3. E. Lawson Brown Middle School

• Role: EC Teacher
• Openings: 1
• Schedule: Full-time

4. Silver Valley Elementary School

• Role: EC Resource Teacher
• Openings: 1
• Schedule: Part-time, 20 hours/week
• Hours: Monday–Thursday, 8:45 AM–1:45 PM
• Caseload: K–2 students
• Candidates must be able to commit to the exact schedule.

Minimum/Candidate Requirements

• Active EC General Curriculum license.
• Standard district credentialing requirements.
• Background check and standard compliance requirements.
• Candidates for Davis Townsend must be comfortable with self-contained autism/max-support classrooms while teaching the general curriculum.
• Silver Valley candidates must commit to the specified Monday–Thursday schedule.
• Candidate presentation must include detailed highlights, specifically noting middle/high school grade-level experience or preference.
• Correctly linked, blinded resume must be attached.
