CLINICAL INTERVIEW W/MGR FINAL INTERVIEW

General Information:
Number of ORs: 4 OR’S and 1 Procedure Room
Will you accept a traveler with 1-year experience? Yes
Will you accept a first-time traveler? Will consider first time traveler if an experienced in field. Send to mgr for approval if 1st time traveler with minimal experience.

Required Licensure and Certifications:  BLS, National certification (CSFA) – NBSTSA and National certification (CST) – NBSTSA required - MUST BE SUBMITTED WITH PROFILE

Technology/Equipment:
EMR: Epic – required experience for RN
IV pumps: Alaris
Medication dispensing: Pyxis

Case Types:
Gyn – Hysterectomy, BSO, tubal ligation, LAVH, TVH, Sling procedures, Ablation, Myomectomy, etc.
General - Breasts/Plastics; Vascular; Laparoscopic; General Oncology; Genitourinary (GU); Gynecology (GYN); Robots (XI), etc.
Robotics - Bariatric, Prostate, Hernia, Gallbladder, Hysterectomy
Urology - Cystos, Turps, bladder ca/tumor resection
Ortho - total joint – knees, hips and shoulders, fractures
Podiatry - Foot, ankle
Plastics
Cataract
ENT T&A, Sinus surgeries, Neck dissection
Endoscopy - Colon, EGD, ERCP, Bronchoscopy

Skills required:  able to assist independently; will work in a dual CST/SFA role – must be comfortable to work as a Scrub Tech

Floating:  No floating required

Weekend rotation:  On Call only, see below

Required Call:  dependent on staffing – typically one weekend every 4 weeks and one weeknight each week
Weekend call – will be on call from Friday 2300 to Monday 0700
Weeknight call – will be on call from 2300-0700 (will work DUAL ROLE CST/SFA)
Is a room available? There is a call room that can be used
What is the response time? 45 minutes

They require TB testing to be completed within 72 hours of accepting an offer. The traveler can complete either a TB blood test or a TB skin test.
