Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Contract: 38 weeks
Shift: 5x8 Hour Day Shift (8 hrs)

     Required Certifications & Licensure

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• NBRC Credential
• Active State Respiratory Therapist License — Montana license preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  
  
  
  Key Responsibilities:
• Perform and interpret respiratory diagnostic tests and obtain arterial blood gases.
• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot respiratory equipment.
• Initiate respiratory protocols and appropriate clinical interventions.
• Administer respiratory medications and evaluate patient response.
• Monitor patients and communicate changes with physicians, nurses, and other departments.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care, self-care, and wellness.
• Complete accurate clinical and productivity documentation.
• Monitor respiratory supplies and equipment.
• Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and research initiatives.
• Mentor and support CRT staff and serve as a respiratory-care resource.
• Attend departmental meetings and contribute to process improvement.
• Float to other departments within scope of competency when required.
• May be required to take on-call assignments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
