Position Title: Med-Surg / ER Registered Nurse Facility: Haxtun Hospital Location: 235 West Fletcher Street, Haxtun, CO 80731 Req Number: Haxtun Hospital-NANC-0036 Position Type: Contract Target Start Date: September 21, 2026 (ASAP start only) Shift: Nights
Job Details & Unit Scope: 880738
- Unit Breakdown: 6 Med-Surg beds (inpatient, observation, swing bed), 3 ER beds, and Outpatient Infusion.
- Common Diagnoses: CHF, COPD, post-op orthopedic, pneumonia, UTI/AMS, and failure to thrive.
- EMR System: Athena
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience required.
- Active license and all required certifications must be active on profile prior to submission.
- Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and AHA Procedural Sedation Module.
- Process: Manager interview and direct offer.

Cons
Lack benefits and perks other companies offer. Was incorrectly paid more than once. The assignment was the worst I’ve experienced from management down to housekeeping. They nitpick travelers on every level and give them double the respiratory therapist to patient ratio with every assignment spread over multiple floors and areas on every side of the facility. Staff makes no attempt at teamwork. Bottom line: Malone is ok🥴 but has MUCH room to improve. Elizabethtown, KY is awful and puts their patients and your license at risk every shift. Don’t do it!
