**NO HOME BASE FACILITY ** MUST be 60 miles from each facility!
Must float within Zone 1: (Based around Colorado Springs, CO):
Penrose Hospital - 7 miles from Colorado Springs City Center
2222 N Nevada Ave Colorado Springs, CO
St. Francis Medical Center 12 miles from Colorado Springs City Center
6001 E Woodmen Rd Colorado Springs, CO
St. Francis InterQuest 13 miles from Colorado Springs City Center
10860 New Allegiance Drive Colorado Springs, CO
St. Mary Corwin 46 miles from Colorado Springs City Center

Schedules are released 4–6 weeks in advance and follow one of two formats:
Option A:
• Scheduled at a single facility for the week
• May float within that facility if needed
Option B – Just-In-Time (JIT):
• Facility assigned 1–2 hours before shift start via call
 

What units are included in the float pool Mutliple units ranging for General MS-Tele into various specialities from Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, & ED Obs. Could be utilize as a CNA only if ever needed.
Nurse:Patient Ratios 1:5-6 based on acuity
Required Certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS?)BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Common diagnoses/Types of patients "Population: Adults- Geriatrics
Cardiac, Neuro, Ortho, Oncology, Renal, Urology-post surgicals, General Surgery-post appy, Gynecology, Psych/Detox, ENT, General Medicine, stable long term placement patients, and more"
Experience or 'Must have' skills "Must have 2 years of MS-Tele experience

Prefer prior neuro experience"

Are RNs required to titrate drips? Heparin
Charge Nurse/House Supervisor? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? Designated Charge on each unit; doesn't take a patient assignment unless necessary; more common for night shift charge to end up with a small pt assignment
Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios Yes
RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc) Yes
Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) "7-7, Schedule is made out by leadership for 6 wks at a time, travelers are expected to be flexible and help to fill gaps in permanent scheduling.
All time off requests need to be submitted prior to starting assignment"
Weekend Requirements 6-9 weekend shifts in a 6 week schedule
Holiday Requirements May be asked to go into the Holiday Rotation
Is there a call or standby requirement? Rare, for low census
How are units assigned? i.e. via text message, daily sheet assignments, set schedule? "May be asked to float into any other acuity level; ICU (take low acuity holds with skillset), PCU/Stepdown, & MS-Tele
