Registered Nurse (RN) – Outpatient / Family Practice

Location: Jicarilla Service Unit – Dulce, New Mexico
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Lunch: 30 minutes
Federal Holidays: Facility closed

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide outpatient nursing support at the Jicarilla Service Unit in Dulce, NM. This is an urgent, long-term need for an RN who is comfortable caring for both pediatric and adult patients in a family practice and urgent care environment.

The ideal candidate will be confident working independently and collaboratively with the healthcare team and will have hands-on experience with immunizations, IV therapy, and general outpatient nursing care.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• 30-minute lunch
• Closed on all federal holidays
• Possible early release the day before a federal holiday
• If patient volume is low and no additional work or coverage is required, the RN may be released early

Contract Duration

The selected RN must be available to begin as soon as background clearance is completed and commit through October 31, 2026.

The client anticipates an ongoing need for coverage through October 31, 2027, so candidates interested in a longer-term assignment and able to make that commitment are strongly preferred.

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS certification
• Ability to successfully complete required background clearance
• Experience providing care to both pediatric and adult patients
• Strong communication, documentation, and patient-care skills

Preferred Certifications

• ACLS – Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
• PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support

Preferred Clinical Experience

Candidates should have experience and be comfortable working in the following areas:

• Family practice / primary care
• Pediatric patient care
• Adult patient care
• Urgent care
• Vaccine and immunization administration
• IV therapy
• Outpatient nursing procedures
• Patient education and care coordination

Immediate Need

This is a high-priority opening, and the client is looking to select at least one qualified RN as soon as possible.

Candidates should be prepared to complete the required background clearance process and understand the importance of committing to the full assignment period.
