Description
Manager Interview
Unit: MT/ MLT
·Required Certifications to be Attached upon Submittal: Mandatory: MLT or MLS (ASCP) & AHA BLS
·Minimum Experience: 2+ years in specialty area & Phlebotomy experience || rural health and/or critical access hospital experience strongly preferred
·Charting Experience Required: Electronic Medical Record – EPIC experience preferred
**Sysmex XN550, ACL TOP 350, Roche e411, Roche c501, Roche Pure, Bactec FX40, Abbott ID NOW, Clinitek Status, Medtox scan, ortho workstation gel method.**
·
Required Skillset: Great phlebotomy skills, good understanding of maintenance and QC and EPIC Beaker
Unit overview: Small rural hospital lab that services the ED, hospital and 3 clinics. Performs chemistry, hematology, blood bank, micro set up & gram stains, urinalysis, coag, ESR, ABG, phlebotomy, manual cell count, trauma drug screen, rapid tests.
-Overview: 2 staff that rotate night shift, 1 staff that is casual and 4 staff that rotate other coverage, holidays and weekends. Attached clinic with 2 staff and 3 other clinics that send testing to us.
·Hard worker, Resilient and Manages Change well, Social candidates. Willing to assist/train less experienced lab techs. Assertive and confident in skills. Team player. Experience with machines is wanted, but not necessary. Arterial blood collection experience is necessary.
Primary Cases: Emergency, routine hospital
·Scrub colors: solid royal blue and black any combination, except not all black
·Shift Requirements: 8hr days (variable start time 0600-2100)
·Float Requirements: Critical Access Hospital
·On Call/Call Back Requirements:. None
