Description
MRI Technologist
- Minimum 1 year of acute-care MRI experience
- First-time travelers accepted
- Experience with neuro patients and acute inpatient care preferred
Patient Population
- Heavy neuro caseload, including:
- Spine patients
- Stroke patients
- Head trauma
- Supports student athletes
- Approximately 40 patients/day, with 6–7 patients per tech/day
Required Credentials
- ARRT (MR) or AMRIT
- BLS
- Kentucky license, unless grandfathered in
- Vistelar training specific to UofL
Equipment / Systems
- Siemens Vida 3T
- GE Signa HDxt 1.5T
- Cerner EMR — experience preferred
Department Support
- Radiologist available 24/7
- Other MRI technologists
- Tech assistant
- May work solo MRI, depending on shift
Schedule
- Weekend rotation based on unit needs
- On-call: 1–2 shifts/week
- Holiday coverage based on unit needs
- RTO requires Nurse Manager approval
- No floating
Orientation
- NEO/facility orientation
- Typically 2 weeks of department orientation
